Did you find the fourth category of tasks I mentioned in yesterday’s email?

No?

I will give another example and let’s see if you can put your finger to it.

Walk 10k steps? I have time just for 7k. I will do 10k tomorrow.

Here’s a similar task from yesterday’s list:

Edit novel WIP? That’s a no-brainer. I will do it tomorrow. There is no hurry.

These two are examples of tasks that we do for ourselves, and hence are willing to defer without considering if we can squeeze them in our schedule for the day.

These are tasks that take us closer to our dreams. Like

– being fit

– publishing a book

– giving back to the society

– going to the Alps or Bahamas

– launching a course

– taking a sabbatical

But still, they are the first to be sacrificed when there is a squeeze.

And this leads to frustration.

And unhappiness.

And lower quality of life.

Now it’s up to you to decide.

Do you want to continue sacrificing your long-cherished dreams?

Just because you feel you don’t have time for them.

Or do you want to create time for them instead?

This is the ACTION STEP for today:

List at least 2 dreams you have held for long but haven’t been able to work towards.

Now schedule 30 min. every week for the next 4 weeks to do one small thing that will take you closer to your dream.

That’s all for today.

Adios and happy dreaming!
