It’s not like you set a boundary and it’s done.

You have to implemented it.

And keep adjusting too.

Setting and implementing boundaries can be challenging especially when it involves people you care about, be it at home or at workplace.

Because, when we are setting boundaries, we think about our own benefits and not who all will be affected by it.

We forget others will have their own reactions to it.

That’s why, boundaries are three step process:

  1. Set up the rules
  2. Take feedback from those affected by them.
  3. Adjust accordingly.

And that’s your ACTION STEP for today.

  1. Write down 1-2 rules that ensure boundary in your life.
  2. Share them with people who will be affected by it.
  3. Observe their reactions. Ask if they feel comfortable with it.
  4. Tweak your rule accordingly. remember that you must not always give in to what others say
