Self-care doesn’t have to take hours.
In fact, a few focused minutes each day can help you recharge and be at your best.
Today, let’s talk about creating simple, 15-minute self-care rituals.
Because you need to sneak in a little you-time, whenever you can, however brief.
Here are some self-care activities I follow religiously. Why don’t you give them a try:
1. Journal It Out
Take 15 minutes to write about whatever’s on your mind.
No rules on what to write and what NOT to write; just random thoughts that make an appearance.
Getting things down on paper can be a great way to relieve stress and clear mental clutter.
2. Get Moving
A quick stretch or mini workout can lift your mood and energy levels. Try a few yoga poses, dance to your favorite song or take a short walk in your garden or apartment block.
3. Tune in to Yourself
Make a drink of your choice and sit with it. Without checking your phone or emails.
Focus on the taste, the warmth, the quiet.
Giving yourself these small moments of calm can help you feel centered if you are feeling overwhelmed.
4. Listen to Something Inspiring
Whether it’s a podcast episode or a favorite songs, choose something uplifting.
Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and let yourself enjoy without multitasking.
When a day has been especially chaotic or tiring, I always start my next morning with a favorite podcast.
5. Deep Breathing or Meditation
Set a timer for 15 minutes and focus on breathing deeply. Apps like Headspace or Calm can guide you, or simply close your eyes and follow your breath.
This small practice can make a big difference in managing stress.

It’s okay to start small as long as you’re making time for you.
I start my day with 20-30 minutes of journaling and 20-30 minutes of walking. You can of course start with smaller chunks of time. Say 10 or 15 minutes.
Give them enough time and they will get so ingrained in your daily habits that something will feel off if you don’t do those self-care routines.
