Say you have failed at something you had been doing.

What do you do the next moment?

Do you think about what you can do to feel better or do you sit down with the failure to analyse what went wrong?

I bet you first try to make yourself aka your mood feel better and analyse your failure later. If ever.

Now say you have found success at something you had been doing.

What do you do the next moment?

Do you think about what to do to feel even better or sit down to go over what made you succeed.

I bet you do the latter. That is analyse how/why you succeeded because that makes you feel better.

Here is the thing.

Next time you fail, sit down to analyse your failure before moving on to forget about how bad it makes you feel.

I promise you will feel better once you know why you failed, because you know how NOT to fail the next time.

Failure doesn’t make us feel bad; not knowing what caused failure makes us feel bad.
