Yesterday, I said that if you are taking on more projects than you can handle, you will have too many deadline oriented tasks to complete.

But how do you say no to a new project, especially if it will be good for your personal and/or professional growth?

Here is the thing:

You have only 24 hours in a day, in which you must squeeze meetings, office work, self care regimen, cooking, managing home, caregiving and more.

Be protective about your time; it’s the most precious resource.

To ensure a stress-free existence, before accepting a new project, look at your other projects and their deadlines, to check if you have time for something new.

I make it a point never to take up more than 2-3 projects, besides client work. For client work also I do not work on more than 3 projects/content pieces simultaneously. The switching on and off between multiple tasks increases cognitive load manifold.

QUESTION TIME

Do you find yourself snowed under urgent tasks?

If yes, the time has come to look at all the things you are doing and then delete or delegate some of the projects..

That’s all for today.

Adios and Happy Deleting!!
