In Cal Newport’s latest book “Slow Productivity,” one of the philosophies is obsessing over quality.
Now, I don’t have anything against quality, but obsessing over it? 🤔🤔
As a working mom I find it a little difficult to embrace.
Shipping is more my mantra, because I must juggle between multiple responsibilities.
I am not saying that you do things that are sub-par. All I am saying is that sometimes you need to compromise on quality.
For instance, if my child is bawling for me, I will probably make tea with scalding water, not necessary wait for it to boil.
What do you say?
I am yet to finish the book so I don’t know what Cal’s argument are, but I wanted to share my take on “obsessing over quality” and hear what you think about it.
