Yesterday, when I talked about treating personal tasks as projects and then applying project management principles to execute them successfully, it set me thinking.
Are kids projects?
Should we treat kids as projects?
Wasn’t my post insinuating that in some way?
What type of a mother I am – treating my kids as projects 🙄
But then I realised, it’s not the kids that are projects, it’s the smaller things that we do with them that are projects.
Things such as:
- Potty training
- Baking together
- Changing room decor as they grow up
- Teaching them to say Please and Thank You
- Exercising daily to help develop a habit
- Playing Scotland Yard and Scrabble
- Arranging pick up and drop from extra classes
The list is endless.
And everything on the list is a task, probably a project on its own.
And kids?
They are life and meaning.
That’s all for today.
Adios and Happy (s)Mothering!!
