It’s so easy to feel guilt as a mom.

As I write this lying down on my train berth, travelling for my book promotion, I feel this guilt acutely because I had to leave the kids back so they don’t miss their exams.

Thos morning I got so guilt ridden that I wanted to cancel the trip.

Even though I have already informed my publisher of my presence. Told my friends and family about it, and got a few confirmations of there visits.

All because as a mother I feel it’s wrong to plan a trip when kids have their exams.

Thankfully I did not follow up this sudden impulse.

I told myself I had no idea about the exams when I planned the trip.

And I have every right to follow my own passions and desires despite being a mother.

Rising above mom’s guilt is so difficult because we have been socially conditioned to forget our own self when we become mothers.

Which is so grossly wrong!!

How can we love someone else when we don’t love ourselves.

So Moms, don’t feel guilty for sometimes putting yourself before your kids.

Know that you have every right to it.

QUESTION TIME

Do you feel dissatisfied with the turn your life has taken?

Will loving and prioritising yourself make a difference?

That’s all for today.

Adios and Happy Self-loving.
