Yesterday I mentioned a few things that can help manage procrastination mindset.

Here is a 5-step framework to help you beat procrastination:

  1. Use your calendar. Have at least 10-12 non-recurring tasks scheduled in your calendar at any given point of time. So that you don’t run out of things to do!!
  2. Get an accountability partner. It can be a person or tool. Just someone or something that holds you responsible for completing what you committed.
  3. Plan beforehand to minimize distractions while you are working. Even if it means you must plan your kids’ schedule before your own so that you get some distraction-free time.
  4. Celebrate small wins. Don’t save celebrations for large wins or goals. Celebrate the small wins such as finishing one step of a goal to continuously feel motivated.
  5. Work on your mindset proactively. Keep fit, practice positive affirmations, use sticky notes to keep your goals always in front of you and be kind to yourself.
