When you begin to doubt yourself, it means you are getting out of your comfort zone.

Which is always a sign of progress.

And shows that you are on the right path.

Why?

Cuz by going out of your comfort zone you are trying new things and learning so much, whatever the outcome.

When I decided to participate in a community dance program last October, it was something way out of my comfort zone.

And at the end of it, I have vowed never to do it (dancing) again.

But guess what? I enjoyed the whole rigmarole of practicing, discussing costume, helping people with steps wherever I could, giving my friends a lift, listening to others’ small talk and more.

It was tiring as hell but I enjoyed being with my team. And that improved my overall mood and happiness level for the whole period.

This taught me that trying new things is exhilarating.

That despite being an introvert, I can be okay hanging out with others.

That being in large groups gives me the space to be myself – more a listener and observer than the centre of activities – whenever I want.

So I am very much going to try a group activity again, whenever I can.

And now it’s your turn.

ACTION TIME

No, not to sign up for a dance performance

But to do something out of your comfort zone.

That’s all for today.

May you rock in whatever you choose to do!
