Yes, that’s true.
Celebrating small wins keeps you motivated, happy and stress-free. Three ingredients necessary for achieving goals successfully.
According to the Progress Principle (Harvard Business Review),
The more frequently people experience that sense of progress, the more likely they are to be creatively productive in the long run. Whether they are trying to solve a major scientific mystery or simply produce a high-quality product or service, everyday progress—even a small win—can make all the difference in how they feel and perform.
When was the last time you celebrated a win? However small?
I am a firm believer of celebrating small wins.
Something as small as ticking off all the tasks on my daily list. Because it doesn’t happen every day.
Here is what I want you to do (ACTION STEP):
When was the last time you celebrated a small, everyday win?
You can’t remember, I bet 😉
But I am sure you can remember your last win, however small.
So go ahead and celebrate your win. Some ideas for celebration:
- treat yourself to chocolate (I always do this 🙈), coffee or whatever else you love to eat
- indulge in an activity you typically don’t find time for
- call your friend and gossip without thinking of the next impending task
That’s all for today.
Adios and Happy Celebrating!
